Formed as the creative endeavor of musical couple Ashleigh and Cody Cooper, Blockhouse Valley quickly gained a reputation for the unique energy the band brings to a roots Americana instrumentation. The band, consisting of voice, mandolin, acoustic guitar, and upright bass, would suggest a traditional folk or bluegrass group, but audiences are often surprised when the setlist weaves in crowd-pleasing renditions of artists like Michael Jackson, Prince, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
